Mike Slane creates work that is a playful blend of digital and lo-fi techniques that combine design, filmmaking and playful experimentation. His multi-disciplinary approach encompasses stop-motion, puppetry, set design, illustration and animation to produce works that are brimming with delight, whimsy and a keen sense of style.

From short educational films for children to commercial campaigns for brands, Mike’s work invites viewers to embrace a sense of play, innocence and optimism, and to look at the world through a beginner’s eye.

Mike lives in Santa Monica CA with his family and overfed cat.

He is also part of the directing collective known as Practice.
